A Change of Heart

Saras travels to Kumud’s village, Ratnanagri, Gujarat, and begins to bond with her family. As he adjusts to their lifestyle, he grows fond of them and falls in love with Kumud. A brief but meaningful romance blossoms between them.

The Revelation and Heartbreak

On returning to Dubai, Saras finds a letter from his mother, which had been deceitfully placed by Gumaan. The letter reveals that Saras’ mother had committed suicide after discovering Gumaan’s affair with Laxminandan. Overwhelmed by grief and betrayal, Saras disowns his father and decides not to marry Kumud, believing he cannot support her without his family’s wealth.

Kumud’s Sacrifice

To protect her family’s honor, Kumud agrees to marry Pramad Dharmadhikari, the son of a powerful politician. Unfortunately, after the wedding, Kumud learns that Pramad is an abusive alcoholic who was coerced into the marriage. Despite being mistreated, Kumud resolves to change him.

Saras’s Return

Unbeknownst to Kumud, Saras realizes his mistake and attempts to stop her wedding to Pramad. However, he is assaulted by thugs and left for dead. Kumud’s new sister-in-law, Alak, discovers Saras and takes him to her family mansion. After recovering, Saras learns of Pramad’s abuse and vows to change him for Kumud’s sake.

Family Dynamics and Jealousy

Pramad’s father, Buddhidhan Dharmadhikari, who disapproves of Pramad’s lifestyle, appoints Saras as his secretary. This appointment incites Pramad’s jealousy, believing his father favors Saras over him.

Kumud learns of Saras’s reasons for rejecting her and forgives him, but she asks him to leave to avoid witnessing Pramad’s mistreatment of him. Saras insists on staying until he can resolve Kumud’s situation.

Pramad’s True Colors

Despite pretending to change, Pramad attempts to kill Kumud with the help of his maid, Kalika. Saras rescues Kumud, leading to her decision to separate from Pramad and return home. Kalika later marries Kumud’s cousin, Yash, as part of her manipulations.

Kusum’s Love

Kumud’s sister, Kusum, falls for Saras after he rescues her from kidnappers—hired by Pramad to abduct Kumud. Kusum confesses her love for Saras, leading Kumud to make the heart-wrenching decision to sacrifice her own happiness for her sister’s.

Despite their family’s disapproval, Kumud persuades them to agree to the match. Saras, initially resistant, eventually agrees to marry Kusum, seeing it as the only way to fulfill Kumud’s wish.

The Twist

Saras plans to have Kusum married to Danny, his stepbrother who loves her deeply. The plan succeeds, and Kusum gradually falls in love with Danny, regretting her earlier feelings for Saras.

The Final Confrontations

Pramad, diagnosed with terminal cirrhosis, leaves for treatment abroad, clearing the path for Kumud to divorce him. With Pramad out of her life, Kumud and Saras reunite and marry.

Unraveling the Truth

It is revealed that Saras’s younger brother, Kabir, thought to have died in infancy, is alive and has been working with Gumaan to destroy the Desai/Vyas family. Kabir is eventually reconciled with his family after Gumaan is arrested and exposed.

Reunion and New Beginnings

Kumud also discovers that Saras’s mother, believed dead, is alive but had lost her memory and been imprisoned in a mental asylum. With Kumud’s help, she regains her memory and is reunited with her family.

The Happy Ending

The story concludes with Saras and Kumud’s long-awaited happiness as they welcome their first child, a daughter named Sanskriti Saraswatichandra Vyas. The family is finally reunited, and peace is restored in their lives.
